At this moment, Myxyr Cast is available as a VST plugin for any Digital Audio Workstation or tracker program on Windows. Your DAW can be Cubase, Reaper, or any DAW of your choice. As a Stage Manager you most probably already have a laptop connected to your mixing table for making a multitrack recording of a performance. Just activate the Myxyr VST to provide your musicians with in-ear monitoring capability.
Myxyr Cast uses Wi-Fi for sending the audio to your Live Ears. Myxyr Cast adapts the WLAN interface of this computer or laptop to act as an access point for the mobile devices running Live Ear. Most Windows laptops have this capability already built-in.
A the Myxyr Wi-Fi network is dedicated to Myxyr, the incoming audio for your DAW should be via a USB or a network cable.
No need for expensive in-ear equipment !
